ABOUT Merch

At Merch, we are building the infrastructure for personalization at scale. We connect the world's most influential companies and creators with our network of custom manufacturers - democratizing access to the best products, designs, and pricing. Our technology is freeing our customers from having to track and manage the complexities of global merchandise campaigns and allowing them to focus on growing their brands.

We're a scrappy team of self-doers looking to expand our team with ambitious engineers interested in solving complex problems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a startup, we view our early engineers as the foundation to Merch's short and long-term success. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of entire product segments and work directly with the founding team to architect, develop, and maintain new and existing product features. You can expect to be involved across both product lines:

Merch Management will serve as the glue that holds a $100 Billion industry together. Creators, Corporations, and Manufacturers will, for the first time, have the tool(s) needed to effectively manage and automate the processes associated with ideating and ultimately shipping/receiving a customized product. We've taken an API-first approach to allow our customers to connect their favorite software to centralize their branding assets, vendors, customers, orders, products, and so much more...all in one place!

Combined with Merch Management, Merch Commerce will become the premium e-commerce solution for buying and selling custom products.

As a Frontend Developer at Merch you can expect to:

  • Design and develop new user-facing features used by our enterprise and creator customers
  • Partner and collaborate with senior leadership across many teams to ideate and execute new product features
  • Work across the stack using Tailwind CSS and Angular/React

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

There's a lot that goes into developing technology to change an industry! We're looking for someone that's crazy enough to take on the task and has:

  • A passion to build and support projects from ideation to deployment.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
  • Design and development of testing processes to maintain core functionality
  • Good understanding of Angular and/or ReactJS
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Figma, or any other interface design applications
  • Proficient understanding of CSS frameworks, preferably Tailwind CSS.
  • Basic knowledge of mobile optimization best practices

Location: Our office is located in Orlando, FL, but we are almost all remote.

Compensation: This position comes with a competitive salary and stock package
